Sheffield City Council
|
Sheffield City Council is one of the largest councils in the country, we serve a population of over 520,000 people and as a result our information management needs are extensive. We have been working to improve the way we share information between our own internal departments and with our partners, citizens and central government and we believe we are at the forefront of a revolution in efficient, secure and reusable Information Technology resources to achieve this aim. Sheffield is a founder member of the National Local Authority Hub Club and has been working to promote the use of service orientated tools and techniques in this area for over five years. Building on our considerable success as one of the original Trailblazer authorities for what was to become the National Children's Index (now known as ContactPoint) we have conceived and are developing a suite of services designed to work together in order to address the needs of local authorities struggling to meet the challenges of multi-agency service delivery.
