This extended functionality is based on Sheffield's 4 years of experience of their award winning local 'SafetyNET' solution developed as one of the original DCSF trailblazers. The LAconnect Intelligent Adapter was designed as a comprehensive solution for Local Authorities to send their data from either modified or unmodified case management systems to ContactPoint. This element of LAconnect is being put "on ice" in the short term, while the Government decides what the medium and longer term DfE strategy will be.
